ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Sonia Schnee — a client-focused professional based in Mendham, NJ, and the Founder of Sonia Schnee Media LLC. I help busy professionals and households save time, reduce stress, and feel more in control through reliable assistant support, organization, tech help, and concierge-style services. With over 10 years of experience supporting high-touch customers, I’m known for active listening, clear communication, and calm problem-solving. Before launching my consulting work, I built and ran a client-centered video production business, delivering 200+ projects for small businesses, nonprofits, and corporate clients — which strengthened my ability to manage details, timelines, vendors, and expectations with a premium level of service. Whether you need ongoing support or help with one specific project, I’m here to make your life easier — virtually or in-person across Morris County, NJ and the surrounding area.

I graduated Cum Laude from Dartmouth College with a B.A. and High Honors in Film and Media Studies and am a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and member of the New Jersey chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMINJ).

While at Dartmouth, I was a Co-Founder of the Dartmouth Organization of Filmmakers and a recipient of the Maurice H. Rapf Award for Outstanding Achievement in Film and Media Studies. After graduating, I worked on various film and television sets in New York City and New Jersey as a Script Supervisor, Assistant Director, Boom Mic Operator, and Video Editor. I worked on the documentary Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work, which won Best Documentary Editing at Sundance Film Festival, and joined HBO as their New Media Asset Specialist, researching emerging video technologies while repackaging original HBO content for social media publication.

In 2010, I joined New Jersey Arts News, a New Jersey-based nonprofit producer of short form video news stories for broadcast television distribution. There, I was promoted several times, contributing as Production and Research Assistant, Outreach Coordinator, Video Editor, and finally Operations Manager.

From 2014-2023, I produced over 200 video projects for small to mid-sized businesses, nonprofits, higher education institutions, and clients in a variety of industries as the Founder and Owner of Jersey Video Production while also running Jersey Indie, a community-focused media and marketing brand that was dedicated to showcasing New Jersey’s independent artists, small businesses, and creative minds.
